+ I am not flexible, can I do yoga?
Here at Transformation Yoga we believe every body is a yoga body, whether fully able to function and move your limbs, or even those confined to a wheelchair. As long as you have an open mind and the
desire to start, no matter ow flexible the body is you too can practice yoga.
+ I have had surgery or an injury, can I still participate in yoga?
So you’ve recently recovered from an injury or surgery, this just means you have additional challenges you may face during your yoga practice. Rest assured that which ever class you intend to take, your guide will be able to lead you in a safe way to work with and not against your challenges or concerns. Of course there is always an option to opt-out or take a modification during class and your
guide will be able to assist you, just let them know at the start of your class.
+ I don’t look like what the media shows a yogi is, is yoga for me?
Of course yoga is for you. We frequently hold space for special groups to gather in community and safe space for their healing, but our classes are for everyone. Society works hard enough to keep people separated by race, gender, belief, and body size, here we are all embraced.
+ It’s my first time practicing, what can I expect?
Since no two bodies are alike, depending on the class you take, you may experience different feelings within your body however, none of these should be extremely painful. If you do notice some pain, immediately let your guide know so they can make safe adjustments and seek professional medical advice.
+ What kind of classes do you offer?
We currently offer:
R3 (Restorative and fascia release)
+ Where can I purchase equipment?
We do not currently sell any equipment but do have some for use. We can also provide you with a list of recommendations if you choose to purchase your own equipment for your personal practice.
+ What should I bring to class?
Dress in comfortable clothes and bring a mat and water with you. If you don’t have your own equipment we have some available for rent at the front desk.
+ What should I wear to class?
Wear clothes you feel comfortable to workout in.
+ Are children welcome into classes?
We love the kids and for kid friendly classes we welcome them as long as they are able to focus and not become a distraction to the other participants in class. You know your child better than anyone else
so please be mindful that this is often times the only time or space many will get to themselves before returning to their daily life requirements. At this time childcare is not available.
